A Short History of Addictions

Ever since I was a child, I have been interested in art, my mother use to say I was born with a crayon in my hand! Unfortunately I decided to forget about art (except for the occasional poster or drawing I would do at various jobs) and went through several different phases in my youth and didn t get back to my first love until I approached middle age.
I began with oil painting, but found out that I would never be a great artist and couldn't afford it so I quickly switched to acrylics and decorative painting. I began my addiction to creating and wanting to share. Painting led to my discovery of fabric and the palette that it offered. I did something I thought I would never do, I took up sewing! I had to find ways to make my new addiction to fabric affordable so I started with tooth pillows, and branched off to all the fabric crafts I do from there.
Then a friend talked me into a stamping class and I was hooked from the very beginning! I had to find a way to make my new addiction affordable and this led to my paper and stamp crafting. I love creating, looking at the blank page and going from there, paper crafting is ideal for that. I love color and designing, stamping is a great way to do this. I love finding funny, interesting and/or challenging quotes or sayings and my magnets and signs allow me to share these.
My final addiction is my grandchildren, especially the oldest, my darling Gracie. I love to craft items for them, such as my I Spy bags, aprons, chalk mats and tooth pillows which I can test on them.
