Allendale Antique Show
QFLEA.com - The Virtual Flea Market

On March 31, 2007, we made a trip to an antique show in Allendale, a small town in Northern New Jersy. The show was held at the Northern Highlands Regional High School on a perfectly sunny early spring day.
We wandered through the high school hallway, the cafeteria and the gymnasium and found approximately sixty different vendors selling a variety of antiques in different categories, including furniture, silver, estate & costume jewelry, pottery, crocks, quilts, linens, antique maps & botanicals, European posters, Shabby Chic, Americana, buttons, glassware, toys, military items, porcelains, linens and more
Parking was convenient, and free. Admission to the antique show was a modest five dollars for each of us and allowed us access to everything. As I wandered between the different vendors, I looked to find evidence of vendors who sold from web sites so that I could invite them to join QFLEA, but to my surprise, there was not one who displayed a web site address. Naturally, we left several QFLEA business cards at the table with the other business cards.
The show is sponsored by P.J.'s Promotions, an organizer of antique & craft shows in the Northern New Jersey area for the past twenty years. This particular show was fairly well-attended, with a nice crowd of interested visitors at the various booths.
P.J.'s Promotions does manage other shows in the area and we will probably go back and visit a few as we continue our search for quality vendors for our online flea market.
