I love to make jewelry for people -- it makes them feel great when they wear something that has special meaning for them. The meaning can be that they have a one of a kind piece of jewelry or that it's a piece of jewelry they they had some voice in the colors that they were used to make it or that's it a piece of jewelry that reminds them of their faith as I've started making Salvation bracelets, Life of Christ bracelets and 23rd Psalm bracelets.
I'm currently working on a Lord's Prayer bracelet but that's not ready to go quite yet. My jewelry is made with sterling silver, copper, Swarovski crystals, colored stones such as jasper, unakite, onyx and agates -- all those pretties that I ignored in science class. I've also started making some pieces from recycled bike parts -- check under necklaces to see these. My husband loves trains and we belong to the Wisconsin Garden Railway Society and so I've started making earrings with sterling train engines on them -- train jewelry is hard to come by, you know -- at least something I would want to wear.
