My Grandmother started me hand embroidering and sewing before I started school. We designed all my clothes. She had a friend that took me under her wing, when she found out I was artistic. I learned to paint with oils and sold my paintings and sketches all thru high school. I went to college for Interior design and graphic arts, and freelanced for many companies. I designed and painted tennis shoes, while raising my three children. I was a stay at home mom. I got into painting on wood and whatever I could.
I still paint signs, windows and murals for people and businesses. I have also driven a school bus for the last 10 years. I have returned to sewing by request. The need for welding caps and hoods was calling me. A fellow bus driver started helping me keep up with the demand and now we need to use up our scraps. We are giving life to slightly used clothing, sewing whatever looks like it would be fun to do.
I also have a new toy, an Embroidery Machine. Now I can use my own drawings to design shirts or whatever. Sewing wild clothes for little girls is my favorite. I will be putting some of our sweatshirts and little girl’s clothes on my site real soon.
