No ... never in my wildest dreams did I ever even think that I would be in retail, so evidently God must have had a plan for me! Back in the 1980's when crafts were the rage, my husband and I made some lamps for Christmas gifts, and this is where it all began...in the basement of our home.

A little later on, a little country shop named "Emaline Brook" evolved in this now remodeled basement, and I was "hooked" forever! After a few years, hubby strongly suggested that the shop needed to be closed or moved out of the house, so we had a retail shop built next to our home. I've always been a "home-body", so all I had to do was walk across the driveway with our miniature schnauzer, and I was at work!

I have now been in business for about twenty years, have a web site, and also have a gift basket business. I enjoy helping anyone who is just getting started in business because I truly learned from "trial and error"!
