I cut my teeth in the antique world but never thought I would one day make a business out of it. Instead I went for stability and got my degree as an X-ray Tech then 18 yrs. later, I obtained my BS to go to law school.

My mom and I had an antique shop but the moment I found out I was going to be a grandmother changed my world. I wanted to be able to stay home and care for my grandchild while her mom worked on her degree in education and her dad worked. We did not want to toss her into daycare as soon as she was born.

We closed the shop, I quit my paying job and learned how to create a website. Here we are 8 years later and My Granny's Attic Antiques is forever growing and changing. My amazing granddaughter is thriving and still spends many hours at Granny's house. She is becoming quite the antique collector and she is fun to shop with.

Whether we are working in the garden, shopping for new inventory, playing in the snow or reading a book ... I have never regretted my decision to start my online shop and be here for her. Now if we could just talk her mom into having another one.
