Do you ever wonder if the circumstances in your life follow a path that you hadn’t thought about or expected?

During the active working years of my life I had used the large table top computer, that just sends information, to audit accounts where I worked. Later I input information and backed it up on a daily basis into a smaller computer with a screen. I had no experience at all with the internet. After I had retired, on Mother’s Day in 1999 my son brought me a rental laptop computer to see if I would like it. I did like it and through much trial and error learned the basic elements, and how to play games and work jig saw puzzles. That was fun.

Do you ever wonder as time goes by why you accumulate so many things until you run out of space to store or display the things you have collected? You can buy a bigger house and that will give you more space until you fill it up too. In my case we had moved from a larger house to a smaller one and that made the space problem almost critical.

These two circumstances led me to build two websites starting with the things I had accumulated and could part with. Doing that was even more fun than working puzzles and playing games. My goals became preserving my mental acuity as I keep aging, and using most of the profit from the sites to help support missionaries through my church. Needless to say, I enjoy working on the web sites. It is a hobby as well as a business.

A bonus is meeting some really nice people and forming friendships. An extra bonus is being a member of Qflea and learning so much from the members. I want to thank Michelle of My Granny’s Attic for inviting me to join. A special thanks to Charley for the wonderful job he does keeping it all together.
