How did "Pages From The Heart" originate? I have always had a creative side always dabbling in something: sewing, decoupage, ceramics, paper tole, petal-porcelain, collage. For 18 years my husband and I ran a small pc and electronics repair business, until the city appropriated our business property.

My husband forced to become a reluctant trucker was hoping I would continue the business from home. Not on your life I thought, almost 20 years had been long enough. Being middle aged and with no work history to speak of, I found it hard to find work so decided to start my own business, but what? On the weekend of my 45th birthday after a giant row with my husband who could not understand why I was not overly appreciative of the pool cue he had given me as a gift.

"There's nothing on the face of this planet that would please you." he said. I replied. "I want something that makes me feel you've thought about me! That I'm special to you! That you love me? Something a little romantic. A pool cue doesn't say that!" He said, "There's no gift anywhere in the entire universe that says that. Why are women so difficult to buy for? I'm not the only guy that thinks that you know?

And so the idea of "Pages From The Heart" was born. I decided I would make the perfect gift that any woman of any age would die to receive from her husband. They were selling well at craft shows, but there weren't enough craft shows locally to make a decent living from, then I became house bound with a back problem so I turned to marketing them on line.
