Mamies Rich Memories - Finds from the Attic

It was time for a career change. After working in the banking industry in New York City for twenty years as a systems consultant I decided to get paid for my "collecting hobby" and stated Mamie's Rich Memories- an antique, collectible and decorative arts business for the collecting enthusiasts like me. My business is named after my Grandmother, Mamie Ricciutti, who was known as Mamie Rich. (1883-1963). She loved beautiful things- from plates to linens to pictures to crystal and created a home filled with comfort, love and memories.
I first started by selling at local antique fairs on Long Island and eventually rented showcases in several antique malls throughout New England. That worked for several years but in 1996 I decided to turn my computer background into an online presence and opened my web store. It's been so many things- exciting, frustrating, slow and busy! More than anything else, it's given me the freedom to learn new things, pursue my interests, work from home, meet great people and work hard for me.
I joined Qflea early on and it's been a wonderful supportive group where I can go to learn something new just about every day. I really appreciate the talent and enthusiasm of these hard-working entrepreneurs and am proud to be a member of this dedicated group.
My business continues to grow as I find new sources for both buying and selling. My shop features a diverse line of products including vintage and collectibles glassware, pottery, porcelain, and general nostalgia. We
recently added a second shop Rockwell Collector plates - featuring retired collector plates based on the art of Norman Rockwell.
