On April 21, we went to visit the Twin Oaks Flea Market in Middletown, NY. Upon arriving, the only
indication of a flea market was at the address was a sign pointing the way into the parking lot. Twin Oaks was found behind a door that led into a small lobby. A sign instructed us to folow the "paw prints" on the floor.
We followed the trail past several kiosks displaying merchandise but did not see any vendors. The path led us to a huge indoor area that resembled a giant garage sale. The variety of catagories of merchandise seemed to include everything including the kitchen sink! We walked through aisles of records, appliances, tools and hardware, toys, clothing, and other memorabila.
The flea market is set up so that vendors do not have to be available on the selling floor, which of course made it impossible to talk to vendors about our online flea market. Merchandise is marked with the price, and the vendor's name. A charming lady at the register is able to tell you with the price is as marked or if the vendor would be willing to go lower. A snack area is available for anyone who's worked up an appetite searching for treasures.
