Barbara Major and Cylinda Mathews I have been crocheting for most of my life so coming up with products that make life easier for crocheters seemed natural. For years used a stretcher board for doilies and other flat items that had belonged to my mother. When the board disappeared along the way, I spent tons of hours on line looking for another one, with no success. So, I started working on building one of my own. Lots of time and money later, through trial and error, the CYBAR Stretcher Board was born. The name CYBAR is a combination of our names; Cylinda and Barbara. When I needed help with testing, I turned to my good friend, Cylinda Mathews of Crochet Memories. Cylinda was thrilled of the idea for a stretching board just for the sole purpose of shaping, blocking and/or sculpting crochet pieces. Cylinda worked with me and made suggestions about what worked and didn’t work. Finally I found a manufacturer that would work with me and even drop ship so I don’t have to stock my own product. Cylinda launched the board in her newsletter and sells it on her website. Next in line and now ready to launch, again on Cylinda’s site, is the Granny Keeper. For those crocheters and knitters out there that like working in squares and assembling later, the Granny Keeper is perfect. It’s an 8” x 8” square tower to store the squares while you complete the number needed. Not only does it keep your work clean but it comes with a weighted top that slides down and blocks the squares while are you working on the next! Again, fulfilling a need is where the idea came from. Both products can be seen either at www.crochetmemories.com or www.myladyscrochetaccessories.com. One of the best marksmen in the FBI was passing through a small town. Everywhere he looked, he saw evidence of the most amazing shooting he had ever seen. On trees, on walls, and on fences there were numerous bull's-eyes with the bullet hole in dead center. The FBI man asked one of the townsmen if he could arrange a meeting with the person responsible for this wonderful marksmanship. Later that day, he met this amazing individual, who turned out to be none other than the town drunk. "This is the best marksmanship I have ever seen," said the FBI man. "How in the world do you do it?" "Nothing to it," said the man. "I shoot first and draw the circles afterward." |

When the cop checked the man's driver's license, he said, "You're wearing glasses on your ID and you're not now. I'm going to have to give you a ticket." The guy said, "Officer, I have contacts." The cop said, "Look, buddy, I don't care who you know ... I'm giving you a ticket." QFLEA.com - The Next Generation Flea Market is in the process of expanding it's presence on the web. With Facebook, we've set up a page and will be trying a few things to see how best to use them. If you're on Facebook, please feel free to find our QFLEA page and become a fan.
