Nancy's Nuggets:
Happy Anniversary

With a couple celebrating their 50th anniversary at the church's marriage marathon, the minister asked the wife "Can you take a few minutes and share some insight into how you managed to remain married to the same man all these years".

She replied to the audience, "Well, I treated him with respect, spent money on him but mostly I took him traveling on special occasions."

The minister inquired "Trips to where?"

"For our 25th anniversary, I took him to Beijing, China."

The minister then said, "What a terrific example you are to all wives.. Please tell the audience what you're going to do for your husband on your 50th anniversary?"

She replied: "I'm going to go and get him."

More Stupid Criminals

A man walked into a Bank of America and wrote "this iz a stikkup. Put all your muny in this bag" on a deposit slip. While waiting to give his note to the teller, he began to worry that someone had seen him write the note. He left the Bank of America and crossed the street to Wells Fargo. After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to the Wells Fargo teller. She read it and inferred that the man was not too bright, so she told him that she could not accept his note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip. The man said "OK" and decided to leave. The Wells Fargo teller quickly called the police, who promptly arrested the man a few minutes later while he was waiting in the Bank of America line.

A man walked into a corner store with a shotgun and demanded all the money from the cash register. After the cashier put the money in a bag, the man noticed a bottle of scotch sitting on a shelf behind the counter. He told the cashier to put it in the bag as well, but the cashier refused and said that he did not believe the man was twenty-one years old. The man insisted that he was of the legal age, but the clerk continued to refuse to give him the scotch. Finally, the man pulled out his drivers license out of his wallet and gave it to the clerk. The clerk looked it over very carefully, and finally agreed that the man was in fact over twenty-one and put the scotch in the bag as the man requested. The man then ran from the store with his money and his scotch. As you probably guessed, the cashier promptly called the police as soon as the man was out of sight and gave the name and address of the man, which he got off the license. They man was arrested at his home two hours later.

Vendor Spotlight:
Paula Pierce

PaulaWalla Imports (PaulaWalla.com) is celebrating its ten year anniversary as an online gift shop with a 10% Off for 10 Days Anniversary sale June 14 - 24. Paula M. Pierce, owner of PaulaWalla Imports, opened her home business in 1997 with a computer, a few international contacts, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

"When I first opened PaulaWalla.com people thought I was crazy", said Pierce, "the internet was so new and people were just barely starting to shop online". After ten years, the internet has totally changed, people shop online now without a second thought because it’s convenient and safe.

We've gone through a bit of a transformation of the years. Originally our product line consisted of Indian Brass Decanter Sets, African carved mask keychains, and colorful African rugs. We added Japanese incense coils, which have been one of our most distinguishing products. Two years ago we introduced our most popular line, Chinese porcelain tea cups and tea sets with removable infusers.

"It was really the online piece of it that took some time," says Pierce. "With the internet so new, I had to learn almost everything by doing. I taught myself website design, ecommerce, and marketing. It was those skills, learned at PaulaWalla.com, that induced me to open a second business, Hosting Connecticut, LLC, website development company in 2003."

PaulaWalla.com is an online gift shop based in Windsor, CT offering a little bit of the exotic for your every day life. You can find PaulaWalla online at PaulaWalla.com
