The Verdict
After a long trial in a bank robbery case, the jury finally ended 14 hours of deliberations and entered the courtroom to deliver its verdict. The judge asks, "Has the jury reached a verdict?"
"Yes we have, your honor," the foreman responded.
"Would you please pass it to me?" The judge asked, motioning for the bailiff to retrieve the verdict slip from the foreman. The judge reads the verdict and passes it back to his bailiff to be returned to the foreman. He instructs the foreman, "Please read your verdict to the court."
"We find the defendant not guilty of all four counts of bank robbery," states the foreman.
The family and friends of the defendant jump for joy at the sound of the "not guilty" verdict and hug each other as they shout expressions of divine gratitude. The defendant's attorney turns to his client and asks, "So, what do you think about that?"
The defendant looks around the courtroom with a confused look on his face, turns to his attorney and says, "Does this mean I get to keep the money?"
Vendor Spotlight: Ilene Shaffer
Soap making was suppose to be a hobby when I started making soap five years ago. Then I got interested in which oils I should use to make a soap kind to skin and friends started telling me I should share this soap with others and make a business of it. A local health food store started offering my soap and the business has expanded ever since.
As a practicing herbalist my interests leaned toward making more than just fragranced soaps. I wanted to make products that helped people alleviate some skin conditions, insect bites, sprains, sore muscles, oily skin & blemishes and a variety of other ailments.
Hearing people tell me my products work so well for them, having them tell me their condition is eased because of what I make is one of the most satisfying things in my life and formulating new products to continue this mission, is my mission!

Letter to the Editor
To the editor:
I was very disappointed with the 'Final Thought' in (the last) issue of the newsletter. I am bombarded with enough political opinion on a daily basis, couldn’t a congrats have been made without poking at a previous Vice-President? Not everyone holds the same opinion of either gentleman.
Editor's reply: You are absolutely correct. While some were amused by the article, you were disappointed. Disappointment is something we never want our readers to feel when our newsletter is published. Our goal is always to bring a smile to your face. In this instance, we failed. I sincerely apologize to you and to anyone else who may have been offended by this particular article.
Final Thought
A three-year-old went with his dad to see a litter of kittens. Upon returning home, he breathlessly informed his mother that there were two boy kittens and two girl kittens. "How did you know?" his mother asked.
"Daddy picked them up and looked underneath," he replied. "I think it's printed on the bottom."
